The new restaurant at the Crossgates Golf Course, 1 Crossland Pass, Millersville, will officially open next Wednesday after renovations costing more than $500,000. The work, which began last fall, has turned a golf course snack shop into Windoz Grill, a sleek new restaurant.

The main area was built in part of the former snack area at the golf course, which now boasts a 32-seat bar and a dining area with large windows overlooking part of the course. Seating has gone from around 30 to more than 80.

To make the extra space, part of an open-air deck was enclosed and an addition was built to the kitchen space.

The total seating also includes an existing pavilion that can hold up to 200 and a bridge connecting the pavilion to the restaurant, which has outside seating for 76 more.

The menu at Windoz Grill will feature moderately priced American cuisine from hot dogs to filet mignon. It includes burgers, cheese steaks, seafood and Italian dishes. Owned by brothers Ryan and Ron Felpel, the restaurant will have roughly 50 employees.

Hours: 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Tuesday, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Wednesday through Saturday. Phone: 584-5310
